Welcome

Welcome to our blog - we have decided to keep a record of the house build as things progress. A blog seemed a good way to share the progress with friends and family all over the world.
I will generally post the updates - Steve will be taking photos and running around like crazy getting other things done.

We're building a Metricon Nolan 45 (adapted) in Kellyville on our new block of land (around 790 square metres).

New posts will be at the top, so start from the bottom and work your way up. Feel free to comment if you wish - we don't expect it all to be exciting so encouragement will be very welcome.

17th Nov - We now own the land!!


Its now Thursday 17th and the land transfer happened today.  More than a year after we put our deposit down and the spoil is still on the block - but nonetheless its ours (apart from the enormous mortgage).

There have been no big changes apart from 4 small red pegs. Nothing exciting but below is a piccy anyway. Steve was completely bewildered by the locations as they didn't mark the outline of the house or the block boundary - he was worried they had made a mistake.  Metricon later confirmed that they were pegging out the area that the contractors have to scrape.
The little red pegs that perplexed Steve.
