Welcome

Welcome to our blog - we have decided to keep a record of the house build as things progress. A blog seemed a good way to share the progress with friends and family all over the world.
I will generally post the updates - Steve will be taking photos and running around like crazy getting other things done.

We're building a Metricon Nolan 45 (adapted) in Kellyville on our new block of land (around 790 square metres).

New posts will be at the top, so start from the bottom and work your way up. Feel free to comment if you wish - we don't expect it all to be exciting so encouragement will be very welcome.

16th December - The Slab is Poured

How exciting, the slab was poured today and fortunately I had the day off so I could go and watch.  We got the kids up at 6am so they could come to watch too.  Len was having his slab poured today as well, but ours started first (woo hoo).  The guys on site don’t seem to mind us taking pictures and videoing them as they work.  I’m sure it must be boring to everyone but I found it very exciting watching cement lorries arriving and concrete spewing out on the site….

We spent a fair bit of time filming the pour before we had to take the kids to school.  Despite the mess, Andrew was enthralled and Evie could have stayed all day……

Whilst we were watching, a digger turned up to dig a trench and connect the  water…..

The site has been handed back to us to get the pool dug. We couldn’t resist making our mark…..

In my bestest handwriting...

  2. So, I understand that Len has his frame up. I assume you have just not got the photos back from the developer of yours! :-)

Looking good. This time next year.....
